What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday: Tomlin!

In case you haven't noticed, I absolutely love Tomlin.  To be honest, I’m probably obsessed with her.
Today is a special day.  Tomlin turns one!
I can’t believe that she is already one; she is growing so fast! We have loved having her as a part of our family for the past 7 months.  She is such a happy puppy and always has us cracking up.  To celebrate today (yes, of course, we are celebrating her special day!), Tomlin will be getting some extra special treats and some new toys.
Over the past 7 months, I’ve taken an embarrassing amount of pictures of Tomlin, but I love looking back and watching her grow :-)
**Beware proud puppy-mama is about to overload you with pictures!

These are the pictures I took for her 1-year birthday.  Phil laughed at me because he said she looks like she is going to a tea party…….my response? “Oooooo good idea Phil!”  What is he going to do with me?!?!DSC_0738DSC_0754DSC_0762DSC_0768DSC_0770DSC_0773
Can you see my difficulty in narrowing down the pictures??!?!?!? She is just too cute!  Happy Birthday Miss Tomlin!!!

Hair Appliance Upgrades

On Target’s website, they call hair care products “Hair Appliances”.  I’m not sure why I find this SO funny, but I do lol When I hear “appliance” I think of kitchen gadgets, not hair care hehe  I do understand the terminology, I just think its funny.

Anyways (sorry for the rambling), occassionally every girl needs an upgrade, right?  I know I’m not the only one.  My hair appliances have seen better days, and I thought that it was probably time they be replaced.  Before purchasing anything, I did my homework:

I asked YOU lol

On Facebook, I asked y’all what products you liked best, I read tons of reviews, and then I went with my gut and I think I purchased some great products.  So of course I’m going to share them with you ;-)

My old hair dryer was just plain stinky.  It was incredibly loud and took, what felt like, hours to dry my hair.  For my replacement I purchased the Revlon 1875W Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic Dryer (Sounds very official doesn’t it?)Revlon Hairdryer
So far I really like this hair dryer.  It has various heat and airflow settings, and it’s also pretty light.  Something that was really important for me was the concentrator; I’ve got to have that.  It also came with a diffuser, but I couldn’t care less about that.  I know some people love them, which is great, I just don’t use them on my hair.  I just prefer my hair straight.  So far, this hair dryer is working great for me and my hairs.Conair Curling Iron
The next upgrade I purchased was the Conair Double Ceramic Curling Iron in the Champagne color.  This curling iron comes with 30 heat settings, but what I love most about this curling iron, is that it reaches 375 degrees, very quickly.  I have a pet peeve that I don’t like anything slow (I know, very 21st century of me); therefore, I like that this curling iron heats up quickly AND curls my hair quickly.  I just hate to wait on mundane things like hair appliances.  Doesn’t everyone?! I like the larger irons because I like bigger curls.  Mine is 1.25inches in diameter, but the curling iron also comes in smaller sizes as well, in case you're interested.

Thank you so much for your suggestions on hair appliances!   If you’re looking for some upgrades, I recommend these two.  Hope you all have a great week!

I was not paid for this post; these opinions are completely my own.

Non-Repliers Make Me Sad, So Very Sad!

Is this you? You may not know it, but this could be you!  I was talking with my friend Mel (check her out here) and this is something that frustrates us both as bloggers.  So after writing the short tutorial on how to fix your word verification (find here), I decided to write another short Blogger tutorial for you.

What is a “Non-Replier”?
I ADORE my readers and LOVE to respond to comments you leave me here at LWTH.  In fact, I read every. single. comment. When technology allows, I respond to every. single. comment.  However, if you’re a Non-Replier I CAN’T respond to your comments. Why? Because you wont let me, so I cry!!!!!! Waaaaaaaaa!!!

What do I mean by this?
If you’re a Non-replier, your account is set up so that when you leave a comment I can’t respond.  When I click reply, it says “noreply-comment@blogger.com” That is SO sad!

Are you a Non-Replier? And, how to correct this!
To check if you’ve committed this blogging sin, go to your Dashboard where you "Design" your blog.  In the top right corner click the drop down arrow, and select "Blogger Profile"

Select "Edit Profile" in the top right corner

Make sure there is a check next to “Show my email address”  Non Reply Bloggers 2
To the right,  it should say “Currently set to your email address” If it does not, then scroll down and enter your email address in the Identity section.  Non Reply Bloggers 3 Then click “Save Profile” at the bottom.
That’s it! By entering your email address, if you leave a comment, then you will hear back from me. How awesome is this?!
I hope this helps you hear back from bloggers where you leave comments!  I know I’m going to love responding to your awesome comments and questions!Keep Calm and Blog
Happy Monday! Have a great week :-)

Maybe I wasn’t paying attention?

I wasn’t paying attention I was busy writing in my home office the other day and came into the living room to find this:DSC_0901DSC_0907
I have a feeling that Tomlin was not a fan of December’s issue of Southern Living.
At least she had a good time and I had already this issue ;-)

Does this looks familiar Kristen Danielle?

What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday: IZZE

I have never, and I truly mean never, liked any form of sparkling water.  I don’t know why; I’ve tried so many different brands but nothing has ever been even remotely appealing about them to me.
Until one day
dun dun dun
I got a very special care package right before Christmas (Ladies, you know who you are, and it came at the perfect moment, I loved it and y’all are the best!).  This was a huge basket filled with homemade fudge, homemade vanilla extract, bath salts, cake pops (3 different kinds!), Starbucks gift cards, encouraging letters, cooking magazines, soft socks, book marks.  Oh I could go on forever, because it was SO amazing and SO thoughtful.  I was truly blessed by this gesture.DSC_1340
Anyways, one of the gifts inside was IZZE sparkling water.  I tried it, and I’m hooked!  I’ve tried three flavors: apple, clementine, and blackberry.  I now purchase them in bulk at Costco.  They are simply delicious! Oh my goodness, just so scrumptious!IZZE Sparkling Water
You’ve got to try it if you’ve never had it, especially if you’re a skeptic critical consumer like me.
Have you tried sparkling water? What are you favorite brands and flavors?

Gallery Wall

Morning and happy Monday!  Time just keeps on ticking, doesn’t it!?  I feel like an old lady when I catch myself saying things like this, but seriously every year keeps moving faster than the last.  Anyone else feel this way?

Ok anyways, enough with the old lady talk.  Last November I completed this project but have yet to post about it (see time IS literally slipping through my fingers).  Phil was out of town for Thanksgiving so I filled my time with projects to distract myself- you can catch up about that weekend here.  One of the projects I did was to make a Gallery Wall in the dining room.  Since we moved here, 4 years ago, this wall has been a décor mystery.  This mystery was conquered when I saw several pictures of gallery walls floating around on pinterest (here are some pictures that inspired me).

After getting some frames from Hobby Lobby (of course Ha!), I began transforming the wall.  I started on the floor, playing around with the arrangement of the frames until I settled on a format that I wanted.  I think it’s much faster doing the rearranging on the floor rather than putting a million holes in the wall lolDSC_0759
I like the look of various styles of frames, and things not matching. They are all a dark espresso brown, so they match color wise, but style and shape they are all different. I think it’s a bit shabby chic lolDSC_0949DSC_0951DSC_0952In addition to the frames, I also purchased a key, a mirror and an “H’.  I also found this sign and love having it in the middle; it’s a great memory of course for us, but more importantly it’s a great piece for our guests to know that the Hawley house is Christ-centered.DSC_0950
I took post-it notes and stuck them to the frames to make sure that I was certain I liked the look and what pictures I had planned on putting in the frames.  Then I got out a hammer and some nails :-)DSC_0762
Ta Da!!!!DSC_0945
So far I’m loving this gallery wall; I think it’s a great way to display various aspects of our family.

What do you think? Do you have a gallery wall in your home? What tricks do you have for your gallery walls?

Blogger News and HELP!!!

Some bloggers have the word verification set in place on their blogs so that after you write a comment you have to type in the provided code to make sure you’re not a robot or something.  However, Blogger has changed up the way this function this week, and now the code is 2 words and it’s even more challenging to read (especially from your phone).
For example:
What is that second word?!?!?!
Word Verification
The older system was a little annoying but I went with it, no big deal. Now the comments I leave I have to verify like three times because I can’t read them. By the second time I get frustrated and give up. This is really sad because I love reading your posts and leaving you bloggy love.  The purpose of the word verification system is to decrease spam; however, it makes it VERY difficult for your readers to leave a comment. And don’t you want comments?!
So please if you want me and your other readers to leave a comment on your blog, please remove the word verification.
How to:
Go to your blog Dashboard
Click “Settings”
Click “Comments”
Next to “Show word verification for comments?” Make sure that “No” is checked.
Then “Save Settings” at the bottom.
Thank you!!!!!!! Hope you’re having a great weekend!!!!!

For Christmas my sister-in-law, Joni, got a new Mac computer.  Joni, her son Elijah, and I had so much fun playing with the camera.  We giggled for hours.  Then at the end of January she posted this picture of us on Facebook with this comment:
