Accidental Fall Wardrobe Capsule

I am sooooooooo far from being a fashion blogger.  But, this fall I unintentionally made a fall wardrobe capsule, and what I mean by that is that I seem to be wearing the same outfits over and over again.  I think everyone around me might be tired of looking at the same thing but I love it so I am keepin’ it on.  I tend to go with a flowy lacy look that almost always include skinny jeans or leggings.  I never go to the store for anything besides groceries, so all of my clothes and accessories are purchased online.  If you know me, you know that I have about 4 favorite places to shop and most everything here is from Grace & Lace, Pink Blush, Free People, or Modcloth. Check out my accidental fall capsule:Fall Fashion

Christmas Books for Kiddos

Thanksgiving is over and we can finally talk about Christmas!!!  It almost feels like a breath of fresh air to not have to hide my Christmas obsession for a month.  Anyone else?!?!  Now that we're all exposed....I had such a great response from my post on fall books last month that I knew I had to make a Christmas book post for y’all.  I try to rotate our books quite often, especially with the seasons.  It gives us a lot of opportunities to discuss what is currently going on and presents opportunities to reinforce what we’re reading with real life application. As we go through and learn about the different seasons, it's a great time to switch out some of our books.  Here are some of our favorite Christmas books that we will be working through this Christmas. (And if you want to do a Christmas book a day, this is how we do it).

Well friends, the gorging culinary week that we look forward to all year has officially arrived.  We're planning to spend our weekend with our Houston family that we love so dearly, and we're definitely looking forward to it.  The table is set, and the menu is planned (and some is already cooking on the stove!).  So I'm out for the rest of the week, but wishing you all a very festive and delicious Thanksgiving with a table full of your loved ones.  See you on the Christmas side!fall-447751_1920

Honestly Hawley {October}

I didn’t realize October was so busy until I started looking through the pictures to write this post.  I guess I didn’t realize it in the moment, but I’m honestly impressed that so much was accomplished last month.  It was definitely a fun month and I can tell that Ellis is just zooming along in her growth.  She is developing such a fun personality as you’ll be able to see in a lot of these pictures.  I anticipated a fun and fast fall and that is exactly what we got.  This month was Halloween, a trip to the beach, lots of arts & crafts, hosting National Night Out, a trip to the pumpkin patch, and so many more fun things.  It has brought me so much joy to embrace this season with my babies. Looking through these pictures again, reviewing the month, makes me feel like this has been my favorite month so far, but I probably thought the same thing last month and the month before that.  Anyone else think that way? If looking through these pictures gives me the warm & fuzzies now, I can only imagine how much they will make me tear up in 5 years.  I’ll probably need a beach towel for my tears in 10 years, and in 20 years…..I’ll be a lost cause hehe
So here are the honest, unedited, unscripted scenes of our October life :-)
