St Patrick’s Day Preschool Activities
I cash in on every opportunity to celebrate a holiday. Come on, who doesn’t love a theme?! With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner we have been using it as an excuse to spice up our school time to make it more exciting and learn about a new holiday. Here are some of the green activities we’ve been doing lately to help with numbers, fine motor skills, art, color recognition, and....honestly, just plain fun:
Taking our leftover Valentine’s Day heart doilies and painting them green as shamrocks
Tracing leprechaun paths
Making rainbows with construction paper and cotton balls
Dot painting on shamrocks (we like these dot pens)
Shamrock footprints covered in glitter
Identifying same versus different from lists of St. Patrick's Day items
Matching numbers with dot stickers (I just wrote numbers on a shamrock & on dot stickers)
Watercolor painting leprechauns
What are you doing with your preschoolers to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
