When I was thinking about what I wanted to write about this week for "what I’m lovin", my taste buds screamed APPLES!!! It must be something about this time of year (ha-ha) that makes me love apples. In fact about this time last year, I wrote about apples (see here). I guess some things just don’t change, and thank goodness! Last year I shared apples in general with you, but this year I really want to focus on apple recipes because I personally just can’t get enough. Do ya feel me on this one or what?!
I’ve never been to an apple orchard to pick my own apples; this is something I need to get around to some day. While I’ve never picked my own apples, I’ve certainly cooked my fair share, and here are some of my favorite apple recipes.
Caramel Apples // Creamy Hot Apple Cider
Quick Apple Dumplings // Apple-Pear Salad with Lemon-Poppy Seed Dressing
Apple Pecan Pie Cobbler // Double Cranberry Applesauce
Caramel Apple Dip // Caramel Apple Brownie Cheesecake

Apple Butternut Squash Soup // Swirly Baked Apples
Apple Praline Tart // Caramelized Apple Crepes
Apple-Pie Cake // Apple-Cinnamon Upside-Down Cake
Apple-Braised Turkey Thighs // Apple Butter
Most of these recipes were on the sweet side, could you tell I was thinking about dessert when I wrote this? hahahaHave you ever been to an apple orchard? What are some of your favorite apple treats?

Oh I love apples in the fall! We go to an apple orchard each year and pick apples and then I have a ball in the kitchen with them :) Today I ate some of my vanilla applesauce that I made (my favorite recipe ever!) and I'm making an apple pie this weekend! I actually have never baked an apple pie - can you believe it?!
Terry's favorite thing about apples... apple pies! LOL And my mother makes him one every time we come home. =)

WOW WOW WOW! Thanks for this. I have so many apples and no clue what to do with them. I was too lazy to look on Pinterest so thanks for this post- I think I need to get on those quick apple dumplings {like now}. What kind of apples do you use {in general}? I have never had luck with store bought apples.
