What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday: Day Dreaming

Y’all it is HOTT!

H-O-T-T hot!

I don’t do hot very well at all.  So why do I live in Texas?!  God is growing my patience I think….that is the only explanation I can come up with.  See, my brain doesn’t even work in this heat!  My brain is melting!
To get me through the heat, I am spending some time today day dreaming of cooler days.

I am SO looking forward to fall this year.  For cooler weather, yes, but for other reasons as well.  Last fall I was teaching my first semester at my new university and we were house hunting.  This took up every “extra” minute we had away from work and it was exhausting and stressful.  We didn’t get to enjoy a lot of the fall activities.  So this year I’m really looking forward to enjoy fall-y things in our new house.

I’m looking forward to:
chili, slippers, pumpkins, decorating the new house for the first time,
football and everything that comes with football: smack talk, fantasy football, good food, lots of friends, cheering, and even putting the pups in their jerseys.  Football is just a way of life around here
leaves & acorns (though we probably wont get that in Houston until January), festive crafts and recipes, fall fashion (especially boots, scarves, & sweaters), hot cider, walks around the neighborhood after work, crisp cool mornings, Pumpkin Spice lattes from Starbucks, snuggling under blankets, apples, oh and the list could go on forever right about nowDreaming of Fall Collage 1Dreaming of Fall Collage 2
Doesn’t this sound heavenly right about now?!?!
Ok I’m going to have an ice cream sundae and think about these things while I crank up the a/c and wait for fall :-)
Happy Hump Day y’all

Hi Darby, you had my interest just by reading Pumpkin Pie Spiced Coffee. That's a personal favorite no matter what the season is. Now you've done it, I want some now, luckily I keep Whole Bean Pumpkin Pie Spice Coffee in the freezer. Thanks for the great idea, can't you just smell it !! Keep Dreaming~Barb

Bring on the boots! And I want a blogger fantasy football league. No boys allowed! If there were enough Houston bloggers interested, maybe we could actually have a draft somewhere! Oooh, ideas!

Oooh that looks heavenly! Autumn is my favorite season :) I'm not quite ready for it yet, but I'm getting there! And how nice it will be to celebrate in your own home! You do great decorating as it is, so I can't wait to see what you come up with! :)

I could have easily written this post, word for word! If I am going to sweat I at least want to say I did something other than walk outside. Ugh! Come on cool fall weather!

I have been thinking a lot about fall lately, too...even thinking of Halloween costume ideas!

I think it's so funny when people in Knoxville say how HOT it is here. ;) It's a solid ten degrees cooler, and the humidity? WHAT humidity are they talking about? Ha! After living in Houston, I feel like no place in the U.S. would be "too hot" for me!

Two words: me too! I wish it could be perpetually fall, crisp air, pumpkin everything, sweaters! But you're right, we'll get our first sign of "fall" in January!
