Christmas Party Weekend

Epic! Last weekend was epic!  There really is no other word for how awesome last weekend was.  Remember I was totally sick? Yep, but I was not about to let that hold me back from experiencing my favorite time of year.  We had a HUGE weekend planned and I was not about to miss a minute.  (Yes, yes of course my fever was gone and I took care of myself. I’m stubborn not careless people).  The only photos I have from the weekend are from my phone because the weekend went by just too fast for me to bust out my camera.
On Friday night the Mr.’s company had their annual Christmas party at the Westin.  I had a blast…..mostly socializing hehe.  Get me in a room with good friends and music and I’m a chatty Cathy…or chatty Darby.  We were out until 1:30 in the morning and every minute was awesome!
This was the only picture I got that night…but I wore this dress Friday, Saturday, and Sunday last weekend lol It was the perfect dress for all of our events: comfortable, festive, and affordable ($30 thank you Target!)4f6a3f045ee211e3b7b612382b3169b2_7Saturday morning, the Mr. went to work while I slept late and then when he got back we went to help our besties finish setting up for their party the evening before attending.  Folks…Best.Party.Ever!
There was so much going on: Christmas trees galore, Frosty’s Corncob Pipe Shop (complete with corncob pipe and pipe tobacco swag bags), signature cocktails, a balloon artist that would impress the most cynical adult,1fb919c4604011e39a351257972a0725_7decadent desserts, cheese plates, fire places, photos with Santa, Frosty, Mrs. Clause, Waldo!!!, and a reindeer walking around,735fbfe2604011e3bb1b0afb9a5908e5_7
photo booths with pictures projected on the walls throughout the party, live music, food trucks (Pi Pizza, Good Dog, and El Ultimo Taco),

and warm cocoa by the fire!
(The Mr. had no idea I was taking this picture, otherwise he probably would have smiled lol)3b3c1276604211e3b891124c17d941be_7Seriously, that party on Saturday night was epic in and of itself!  I wish I could have brought all of you along with me.  We didn’t get home until 4 in the morning (which was an hour earlier than we made it home the previous year).  We just always hate to leave the party; it’s so much fun.  If we could do that celebration year-round, we would be so happy! lol
On Sunday night, the Mr. surprised me with tickets to see the Broadway musical Elf.  I love the theatre in December and I’m so glad that my hubby spoils me with tickets to something special every year.  The show was pretty good; however, the Mr. and I decided that since we have seen the movie so many times and the musical followed the movie so closely, that we were anticipating many of the lines.  We definitely thought the second act was much better than the first.88b59d22607111e393b112096d51461e_7 (1)See I told you this was one epic weekend, and it was a blast.  I hope this weekend can live up to last weekend!
What are y’all up to this weekend?
xoxo Darby

It sounds like you had such a fun filled weekend! I love the dress you are wearing. Definitely a good pick :) Your friends decorated for their party so well! And their house is gorgeous! I thought it was a restaurant at first.

You look adorable and wow, you have a lot of parties to go to! I have zero Christmas parties to attend. Again. I'm so lame. :/

I can't get over that it took place at a house!! WHAT?!?! The food trucks - what a genius catering idea! Saves hostess time, and cleaning up! :) SO glad y'all had a blast! Hopefully you can really rest now that everything is on break at work!!

You're such a pretty little pregnant lady :) sounds like you two are quite the (Christmas) party people! It looks like so much fun! Did you just love Elf the musical? What a fun surprise! I saw it Friday night and thought it was one of the best musicals I've seen in a while!

Love your dress, I would've worn it for all those events too!

That party and the house itself are amazing.
