Epic! Last weekend was epic! There really is no other word for how awesome last weekend was. Remember I was totally sick? Yep, but I was not about to let that hold me back from experiencing my favorite time of year. We had a HUGE weekend planned and I was not about to miss a minute. (Yes, yes of course my fever was gone and I took care of myself. I’m stubborn not careless people). The only photos I have from the weekend are from my phone because the weekend went by just too fast for me to bust out my camera.
On Friday night the Mr.’s company had their annual Christmas party at the Westin. I had a blast…..mostly socializing hehe. Get me in a room with good friends and music and I’m a chatty Cathy…or chatty Darby. We were out until 1:30 in the morning and every minute was awesome!
This was the only picture I got that night…but I wore this dress Friday, Saturday, and Sunday last weekend lol It was the perfect dress for all of our events: comfortable, festive, and affordable ($30 thank you Target!)Saturday morning, the Mr. went to work while I slept late and then when he got back we went to help our besties finish setting up for their party the evening before attending. Folks…Best.Party.Ever!
There was so much going on: Christmas trees galore, Frosty’s Corncob Pipe Shop (complete with corncob pipe and pipe tobacco swag bags), signature cocktails, a balloon artist that would impress the most cynical adult, decadent desserts, cheese plates, fire places, photos with Santa, Frosty, Mrs. Clause, Waldo!!!, and a reindeer walking around,
photo booths with pictures projected on the walls throughout the party, live music, food trucks (Pi Pizza, Good Dog, and El Ultimo Taco),
On Sunday night, the Mr. surprised me with tickets to see the Broadway musical Elf. I love the theatre in December and I’m so glad that my hubby spoils me with tickets to something special every year. The show was pretty good; however, the Mr. and I decided that since we have seen the movie so many times and the musical followed the movie so closely, that we were anticipating many of the lines. We definitely thought the second act was much better than the first.See I told you this was one epic weekend, and it was a blast. I hope this weekend can live up to last weekend! What are y’all up to this weekend?
