What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday: Brew & Save

Over the past few years, my office has changed so many times (see here and here); I mean my employer changed so of course my office changed.  Over the summer, my office moved AGAIN; though, this time I was still with the same university (thank goodness!).  Some schools within the university merged so we moved.  I couldn’t tell if I was happy or sad about the move.  I mean, packing of course stinks (especially during exam week), but I love unpacking and starting over.  But you can’t unpack until you pack, right?

Anyways we moved and I am loving my new office.  I am now on the top floor (there are only 3 floors lol), have a great view of what-will-be the new football field, more desk space, and bigger windows.  The building is much better (and newer) than my former building.  I also love that most of my classes are in this building so I don’t have to walk through the heat to get to my classes. Score!

This is completely ridiculous might be silly, but my favorite part about our new building (besides the people of course), is that we have a workroom with a Keurig coffee maker.  This has changed. my. life!  We all know that I love coffee, but instant coffee?!?!?! Woah baby!  I have heard of these fancy machines, but never had the opportunity to use one, and I can officially say that I have just discovered Keurig and am now in love <3 I’m in deep people!

In my search to investigate in my new world of K-cups, my husband and I realized just how quickly those little plastic cups add up!
Entering stage left: Brew & Save
These plastic, reusable cups are so neat.  They are the same size as a K-cup, except you add your own ground coffee to them.  After using them you just rinse them out.  Better for the environment and so much more affordable.  You can also use them for tea or cider, and they are 100% BPA free.  I have been bringing my own ground coffee to work with my Brew & Save cups.  Morning Routine at the OfficeBrew and Save-1Brew and Save-2
Last weekend I posted on Instagram how I made my pumpkin spice syrup for the women at work, and I also made some for myself so that I could have pumpkin coffee everyday :-)f2ddd5961e6511e3bccc22000a1f8cda_7
A new office, with better coffee, fun money-saving Brew & Save cups, and Pumpkin Spice every morning?!?!
That is what a happy professor looks like!

Thank you for posting this; I had seen the product before but could not remember the name of it. The rising price of K-cups is why we quit using our Keurig, so this would be very useful.

We have a Keurig in my office and I am obsessed! My boss generously provides K-Cups for everyone but I do try to pitch in every so often and they aren't cheap! We have one of those reusable cups but never use it. Now that I know it works I should start!

I LOVE our Keurig. My husband and I don't drink more than 1 cup a day, so it's perfect fo us. I am very excited about a new coffee machine that Hamilton Beach has out. On one side you have a normal 12 cup coffee maker, and on the other a k-cup coffee maker. I am getting one for my parents for Christmas. My dad travels, so when he is gone my mom can have her coffee using the k-cup side. When my dad is home, they can make there noraml pot of coffee in the morning for them both. It's perfect! I love Pumpkin spice, so I may have to try out this syrup you have mentioned. Love reading your blog!! :)

Our Keurig is my favorite kitchen appliance! I don't know what I would do every morning without it?! I have always wondered about these reusable cups I have seen and now that I know someone likes them...I will have to give them a try! Sometimes we go through a few k-cups a day and that does add up!

I love LOVE my Keurig. I have one of the My K-Cups - basically the same thing - But I HATE IT!! Cleaning out the grinds!

I don't think there is one super close to you but Coffee Icon is a great store. It's all K-Cups. They have all kinds of brands - they give you samples - you can buy mix and match cups to try. GENIUS! You will love! :)

Okay.. 1 — I don't like anything pumpkin. And I might have just lost my blogger cool card from that. 2 — you know my love for a Starbucks decaff white mocha... but sadly that just don't make them here like they do in Houston. So I haven't had one since. Reason number 482 that I need to come back and visit Darby in Houston, soon.

I love those little Brew and Save deals! I even bought some for my little brother! As for homemade pumpkin spice, I need that. Pumpkin spice everything holds the key to my heart :)
