What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday: Scarf Madness No More

Organized ScarvesI live in Houston, so I have no idea why I have so many scarves.  They certainly are not for warmth so much as they are for looks and creating chaos in my closet.  The other day I had had enough.  Scarves were everywhere! Some were within my view so I wore those the most, but then some of my favorites got buried, pushed to the back, and I never saw them; therefore, I never wore them.  Major bummer, right?

Something just had to be done about this scarf crisis #firstworldproblem

When I was shopping at IKEA, I noticed this super duper handy dandy hanger that organizes things (i.e. belts, scarves, etc.).  Yes, I have seen something similar on Pinterest that I could have DIY’ed myself, but seriously, it was right there and I was in a lazy an instant gratification mood, so I threw that bad boy in my bag-cart (those bag-carts are super weird, right?) and headed home to fix my mess.
Check this out:DSC_0317-2
And for only $7.99 I can now see all of my options!DSC_0104-2That was such an easy and cheap fix, and sometimes those really are the best projects (if you can even call it a “project”) to do around the house.  The smallest projects sometimes have the greatest impact.
Now if I could only do something about the weather here in Houston so that I could use these things a little bit longer, that would make me really happy.
But I guess I can’t buy the weather at IKEA.  It’s an incredible store but they can only do but so much lol
Happy Wednesday friends!
xoxo Darby

I use a tie organizer in my closet. My scarf collection is the only thing organized in my closet! Ha!

I love how you organized these! All of my scarves are hanging on a decorative hook and I'm quickly running out of room. This is a great alternative - especially for bigger collections :)

What a great way to organize your scarves!! I have a few scarves but I never wear them. I want to. Maybe if I had them looking all cute I would give them a chance?!

I've had this issue before as well but when I moved I discovered I had an extra over-the-door towel rack leftover from college that I wasn't using, so I did the same thing with. It has so many places to hang scarves and keep them organized and now I just conveniently hang them over my closet door for easy access. Cheap and gets the job done!

And you totally could've done it, but for $7.99 while you're pregnant. DEAL! And as for the weather - I'm hoping the upcoming warmer weather stays around for a little bit!!!

Darby I just did the same thing last week! haha great minds think alike :) I got some Real Simple scarf hangers from Bed Bath & Beyond and organized all my scarves. I feel so much better about it and I can actually see what I'm working with!

I have that same owl scarf :)

I love this. I hang mine up too, it's easier to check out and I wear them more often that way.

I use the exact same thing from Ikea for my scarves! You can also put extra shoelaces and belts on there too. Except, I usually get lazy and don't feed the scarves into the round circles. I like to make it hard on myself and pile them all on top of each other on the end. So that whenever I reach for one, they all fall off! LOL
