Procrastination at its Finest

While I was avoiding reality catching up on some blog lovin’, I came across this fantastically festive way to procrastinate even further.    Thank you Taylor for the idea!Christmas tree bokah
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? I like the idea of Egg nog, but I can never drink more than a glass, so I would have to go with hot cocoa
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Growing up, Santa never wrapped gifts, but since I moved to TX, Santa’s workshop must to have undergone a change in management because my gifts are all wrapped now.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? White lights are my favorite, and 3 of our trees this year have white lights, but our main tree has colored lights.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? We sure do, I’ll cash in any excuse to kiss my hubby!
5. When do you put your decorations up? The Friday after Thanksgiving
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? I’m a sucker for those special cookies that I only get at Christmas time.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus before opening any presents.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? What truth?! ;-)
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No way!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Our main tree is a mixture of all our ornaments; absolutely no theme, but very personal.  My grandmother always did themed trees so when she passed we started doing a new themed tree every year.  We call them Ruby Trees
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I can’t wait to go home for some snow this year!  LOVE IT!!!!
12. Can you ice skate? Yep :-)
13. What is on your Christmas list this year? I asked for a camera and a new sewing machine.  So far I’m doing pretty well :–)
14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you? Reading the Christmas story and spending time with family.
15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? The pumpkin pie my sister makes me for my birthday :-)
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? I love going to the midnight service on Christmas Eve.
17. What tops your tree? When we first got married we spent months looking for a star topper that was an exact replica of the one Phil had as a child.  I’m not sure what was more fun: the actual tree topper hunt or remembering it every year when we decorate the tree.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Definitely giving!
19. Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? Yum!
20. Favorite Christmas movie? I love Elf.  In fact, I watch it year-round and I’m already on my second DVD (the first one only plays in green now lol)
21. Weirdest Christmas song? I want a hippopotamus for Christmas <-- I do not get that song lol
22. What is your favorite Christmas song? Oh Holy Night is my absolute favorite!

Doesn't this list get you so excited for Christmas?! If you decide to make this list too, please leave me a comment so I can come read your list :-)
xoxo Darby
