What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday: Bitter Yuck

Phil and I got Bitter Yuck! when we had had Tomlin for about 3 weeks.  She has only attacked one pair of my shoes, and that was all it took for me to learn to put my shoes in the closet.  But iBitter Yuckn attempt to make sure that we don’t have any more chewing “accidents,” we purchased Bitter Yuck.  This stuff works miracles!

This is a natural taste aversion tool that you spray on things you don’t want chewed.  The easiest comparison I can make for the product is putting pepper on a child’s thumb so they don’t suck it.  Like I said, it is natural and doesn’t cause burning or irritation; it just tastes bad.

We have sprayed this on the legs of the coffee table, end tables, the trash cane, the bottoms of our kitchen cabinets, on the dining room table and chairs, where the carpet meets the wood/tile floors, around the plants, on electrical cords, the walkway into my closet, and on anything else we thought might be enticing for a puppy to chew on.  Bitter Yuck has been an affordable and effect training aid for us.  We love it, and my shoes love  it too :-)

However, I will note the obvious: if you get this product, and you spray it while you’re making dinner, make sure you wash your hands before you get back in the kitchen ;-)
